The app sidebar menu

Dashboard - This is the Home page section of the app. Here you can see your dashboard metrics and below this is our feedback section where you can add or vote on feature requests.

Automation - Make changes to your automation flow and edit your notifications from here. You can also view the open and click rates for your notifications on this page.

Abandoned Carts - Track your store's abandoned cart activity here. Automated notifications for carts are tracked in the Activity column on the far right.

Opt-in Popup - Edit and customize your subscription form for Email and SMS. This popup allows you to collect Email addresses and phone numbers on your Home page, before your customers abandon a cart. This makes for a much more streamlined automation flow.

Settings - Adjust the settings for notifications here (See each notifications' Getting Started guide for more on these.) You can also sync your store to the app on this page. If you are experiencing any issues with the app — this is rare but can happen after publishing a new theme — hit this button to sync our app's code with your store's theme.

Dashboard metrics

This is a high-level view of your store's abandoned cart data. For more detailed metrics check out the Automations page. Here's a quick breakdown of what's displayed here:

Abandoned Carts - This is the total number of all abandoned carts on your store since installing the app (carts prior to installation are not tracked.) This number includes carts that have been abandoned without triggering any of the automation flows. These carts are not considered eligible for recovery by our app, as the customer has not provided a means of contact.

Notifications Sent - This is the total number of all automated notifications that have been sent to your customers. This number includes Push, Email and SMS notifications.

Sales - This is the total value of all orders that have been recovered through Rivo's automated notifications, including tax and shipping. When a customer clicks-through to checkout on one of our Push, Email or SMS notifications and completes their purchase, this sale is attributed to the app.

Getting Started with Notifications

Rivo Abandoned Cart Recovery is a totally automated solution to recovering carts and checkouts. Once a cart or checkout has been abandoned and there is no activity after 5 minutes our automation engine fires up and begins queuing notifications. You can edit your messaging, add discounts and adjust sending times by selecting Edit on any notification.

There are 3 types of automated notifications: push, email and SMS. Push and email are available on all plans, SMS is included in our paid plans.

Here's our guides on these notifications:

Getting Started with SMS Notifications

Please consult our Compliance Guide for SMS before you get started using these notifications.

Understanding Automation

In order to receive notifications once they have abandoned a cart or checkout, customers must trigger the automation flow. Customers can do this for push by allowing browser notifications from your store. For Email and SMS, the customer must provide their details. Usually they do this at checkout, but you can collect Email addresses and phone numbers earlier using our Opt-in Popup, resulting in a much more streamlined automation flow. Check out our guide below for more:

An Overview of the Automation Flow

The Opt-in Popup

This popup form allows you to collect your customer's email addresses and phone numbers when they first visit your site, before they abandon a cart. This results in a much more streamlined automation flow as it means they don't have to proceed to the checkout and enter their details there to trigger the automation flow for email and SMS. You can even incentivize signups with a unique discount code for each new subscriber. There are tons of customizations available for this popup. To learn more about this popup and how it improves the automation flow, see our guides below.

Tracking Carts

You can keep track of your store's abandoned cart activity on the Abandoned Carts page. This page displays all abandoned carts, including any that have not triggered the automation flows. Data shown here includes the customer's information (if they have not triggered an automation, customers show as 'Anonymous Visitor') as well as the products in the abandoned order and notification activity.
